About New Betting Sites Kenya
This site deals with one moment: a betting name you have never seen turns up in an advert, a group chat or a search result, and you want to know whether to trust it with money.
What this site does
It answers three questions about a new name. Is the company behind it on the Gambling Regulatory Authority's list? What does the status on its line mean? What does the law make it do before and after you deposit?
The table of New licensees copies the 17 lines whose status reads New from the regulator's list for the trading period 2025/26. The guides explain the duties behind those lines one section at a time, starting with how to check a new licensee.
What it is not
- Not the regulator. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya, set up by s.6(1) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025, issues licences and publishes the official list. Its live page prevails over anything copied here.
- Not a bookmaker. This site takes no bets, holds no accounts and offers no gambling of any kind.
- Not a review site. It does not score or compare licensees, and a line on its table is not an endorsement.
- Not legal advice. It explains what the Act and the 2026 Regulations say. A dispute goes to the operator, then the Authority, then the Gambling Appeals Tribunal established by s.88.
Who is behind it
The site went live on 28 October 2026 and has no track record yet. The legal entity that publishes it, a contact channel and a named reviewer have not been published. Until they are, the site runs with a demonstration status, and this page says so plainly instead of asking you to trust a name you cannot look up.
Pages are drafted with AI tools and pass automated checks before they appear. The editorial policy describes that process and what it cannot catch.
Why there are no adverts or operator links
Under s.87(1) of the Act, nobody may advertise gambling on any electronic or other medium without the Authority's approval. The Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 114) treat any communication that promotes taking part in gambling, digital media included, as an advertisement (r.2), and they bar calls to action and testimonials (r.9). This site holds no approval, so operator domains appear as plain text and nothing links to a betting site. How this site makes money covers the rest.
Who it is for
Adults in Kenya. Gambling is for people of the age of majority, which in Kenya is eighteen; the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 bar persons under eighteen (L.N. 112 r.92). If you are younger than that, this site is not written for you.
If something here is wrong
A misread line, a wrong section number or a date that has moved on is worth fixing. No reporting channel is published yet; it will appear on the contact page when the publisher is named. Every fix, whether it comes from a reader or from the checks, is entered in the log on the corrections page.
