Editorial policy
This page explains where the words on this site come from, what is checked before a page goes up, and who is responsible for it, including the parts that are not in place yet.
How pages are written
Pages on New Betting Sites Kenya are drafted with AI tools from the Gambling Control Act, the 2026 Regulations and the regulator's published list, then pass automated checks for sources, wording and the 18+ notice before publication; no named human reviewer has signed them yet.
A page starts from its sources, not from a blank screen. The drafter works with the section of the Act, the regulation or the line of the list open alongside the text, and each legal statement names the provision it rests on so you can check it yourself.
Sources that count
- The Gambling Control Act, 2025, as published by the Authority and in Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 141 of 12 August 2025.
- The 2026 Regulations: Licensing (L.N. 111), Conduct of Gambling Operations (L.N. 112), Foreign-Based Operators (L.N. 113), Advertising (L.N. 114) and Gambling Appeals Tribunal (L.N. 115).
- The Authority's list of licensed gaming companies for the trading period 2025/26, and its own pages on contacts, complaints and self-exclusion.
- For data and money questions: the Data Protection Act 2019 and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, the Kenya Revenue Authority and the Finance Acts.
Forums, social media, news reports and other betting websites are not used as sources. Operator facts such as trading names, licence numbers and domains come only from the regulator's list, with its trading period and the date it was read.
What is never published
- Rankings, ratings, scores or lists of the best sites.
- Bonus amounts, welcome offers or promotional codes.
- Links to operators. Domains appear as plain text.
- Testimonials, winner stories or quotes from players.
- First-hand claims. No account has been opened and no bet placed for this site, and no page says otherwise.
- Tips, predictions or any suggestion of what to bet on.
How a page is checked
Before a page is built, automated checks read it for: a source behind every guide, with its address and access date; the 18+ notice; a link to help, limits and self-exclusion; promotional or promissory wording; links to operators; and text duplicated from other pages. A page is published only when the checks report zero defects. One failed check holds it back until the fault is fixed.
There is no named human reviewer at present. The byline on each guide says the page was prepared with AI tools under this policy and links here. When a reviewer is appointed, their name and the date they started will be added to this section and to the byline.
The checks cannot judge everything. They confirm that a section is cited, not that it is the right section. That is why the sources are listed at the end of every guide and why corrections are logged in public.
Dates
Every page shows the date it was last updated in the tab at the top of its notice. A guide also shows the day it was first published. The New licensees table carries three dates of its own: the trading period, the day the regulator's page was last modified and the day this site read it. A page is redated only when its content changes.
Independence
No operator pays for anything on this site, and the site has no income at all; how this site makes money sets that out. A company's appearance on the table depends only on the regulator's list.
Mistakes
When a page is found to be wrong it is corrected, redated and entered in the log on the corrections page. Corrections are not made silently.
Readers under eighteen
Nothing here is aimed at people under eighteen. The Advertising Regulations bar adverts that show minors or people who appear under eighteen (L.N. 114 r.6(1)(c)(iii)), and betting with a child is an offence under s.109 of the Act. Pages use no cartoons, games or school settings.
